I'M MINA

I'm a somatic facilitator & dance artist. I weave my many years of somatics & dance, into my healing work.

I offer group and 1-1 work online to help you transform the way you inhabit your body, increase your ability to meet life's challenges and to feel more pleasure and joy. 

I have been guiding Non Linear Movement Method Journeys since 2017 and am a certified Non - Linear Movement Method® Teacher accredited by Michaela Boehm. 

I have been on the teaching team for Alchemical Alignment- Tools for Trauma Resolution and Embodiment of Spirit since since 2022. 

In the clip below you will see a short demo of The Non- Linear Movement Method® which these sessions are inspired by. 

I say inspired by because I have sightly modified my teaching over the years to reflect a more permission based, expansive practice. 

How it works…

These practice sessions are a way for you to begin to develop an authentic connection to your inner self.

In right timing and with reverence, you will begin to develop a foundation of trust and truer alignment within.

Over time as your connection and capacity grows, emotions and experiences that are ready to be met, will come forward to be gently metabolised.

This way of moving helps your mind and your body get on the same team, and is an excellent first step towards working with some of the more engrained survival patterns such as people pleasing/fawning, numbing out or having weak boundaries.

This isn't fast, cathartic healing thats unstable and unsustainable. In this space you'll be honouring your body, while giving yourself the gift of time to move towards more regulation, self trust & self sovereignty. 

The benefits of which will impact on every relationship you have, starting with the relationship you have with yourself.

WHO ARE THESE CLASSES FOR?

Women +  folks with vulva’s.

DO I NEED TO BE ON CAMERA?

No

how long is the workshop?

90 minutes

DO I NEED TO STAY THE WHOLE TIME?

I ask that people try to be on time as much as possible as you'll get the most from the class if you attend from the beginning. If you need to hop off early then I just ask that you let me know you're leaving before you go so I know that you are ok. 

WHAT DO I NEED FOR THE WORKSHOP?

Comfortable clothing that you can move in. 

Access to zoom and audio/sound. 

I recommend using speakers or wireless headphones for best results. 

A quiet, private area for practice would be ideal (A bed also works)  

A yoga mat can also be useful.

I DON’T LIKE GROUPS. WILL THERE BE GROUP PROCESSING?

Even though this is a group class, I hold the ‘group’ very loosely. You can participate as little or as much as you wish, and there is no requirement to be a part of the group or share if you’d rather not

I’VE BEEN REALLY TIRED LATELY. WILL I NEED A LOT OF ENERGY FOR THIS KIND OF MOVEMENT?

Absolutely not. Most people report that they feel gently nourished and regenerated after moving in this way.

I HAVE MOBILITY CHALLENGES, CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE?

Yes. You get to decide how much or how little you move, and you can do this entire practice sitting in a chair or lying down if you wish
